Create Your Own Lane

I have always had a love for writing. One of my earliest memories is of a beloved elementary school teacher sharing something I had written with the whole class. I was shy at first, then I saw the reaction. Everyone loved it! That feeling of being able to have someone feel something with your words was indescribable then and still is now.

After working 25 years in the optical industry, doing every job from tinting lenses to designing retail spaces, I knew it was time for a change. I loved my optical family but I felt there was more that I was meant to do. I decided that it was time to pursue my love of writing. But exactly how was I going to make that dream happen?

I started by signing up for a freelance work website. I created a profile and within a few weeks, I had my first writing job! I was going to be writing product descriptions for…reading glasses. They say you should write what you know, and that’s exactly what I did!

I created my own lane.

Over the last 5 years, I have been fortunate to marry two of my greatest loves, writing, and eyewear. I created PIZZINI WRITES to offer my writing services to companies and individuals in the optical industry that require copywriting services. I understand how involved the work of an eye care professional can be firsthand. Hence my tagline - “I write so you don’t have to.”
